One year after the critically acclaimed EP ‘Womb of Life’ was released, the singer, cellist and composer behind WHERE DID NORA GO, Astrid Nora, returns with the single 
‘UNDIVIDED’, which exudes hope and dreams of the future.

‘UNDIVIDED’ is the first in a series of new songs that have been created under quarantine lockdown in the spring and which go under the working title ‘Songs of Solace’. 
 The year has brought so many disruptions and changes - everywhere we look there are new winds blowing. WDNG also brings a completely new vibe - a brighter, more welcoming and embracing sound. ‘UNDIVIDED’ is a gentle ‘pick-me-up’ song - a caravan of hope.

Astrid Nora speaks about the song: 

"We are living in a time of serious turmoil with so many new shifts, many worries and - for many - great fear. I therefore felt the need to write a song that points forward; beyond the anxiety and the nervousness, past the misfortune and the sorrow - into a bright future where we can all unfold again - perhaps even more freely and with even greater appreciation than before. I have found myself seeking more and more into nature, the woods and the ocean, where I have found a calmness and a connection; a deep confidence in the future. The new songs have all grown out of this deep trust and hope. We need to nurture hope and revive our will to believe in it.”

The single is produced in close collaboration with Aske Bode who has also worked with Oh Land, Irah, Hymns From Nineveh, Penny Police etc. The new collaboration has brought a new lightness and a more open expression that blends beautifully into the music.

‘UNDIVIDED’ is written as a prayer or vision of the future: ”There will be light again / There will be love in plenty / On the other side of blurry eyes / You will be you again / you will bear fruit again / On the other side of time”. It is carried by an indomitable faith in the future and in the indomitable spirit deep within each of us - in life itself; a place that can never be destroyed or broken - a place that will forever be whole and complete. Hence the title ‘Undivided’.
