1.
Surrounded by light Vibrating my shattered body I let it in For too long I carried far too heavy a load To prove that I could Now I let go Aid comes in all the many shapes of light Let it comfort you All draped in colors of the womb of life Let it shelter you Or are you too stubborn Too busy proving your worth? Darling, let it go They’re all patterns - shadows of the past They no longer hold the truth Let it go Aid comes in all the many shapes of light Let it comfort you All draped in colors of the womb of life Let it shelter you Surrounded by light Vibrating my shattered body Let it in

Never Falter 03:22
Darling, please don't hesitate no more My love, stop the endless comparison Cause it kills your spirit Dries out your blood Stifles your voice It kills your spirit Robs your soul of joy So keep your eyes on the purpose Aim for what is yours to give And you can never, never go wrong Never falter You can never, never go wrong Never falter
3.
I am still here In spite of being invisible to the eye I am still here Altered am I because of all Altered am I I am still breathing In spite of you sucking life out of me You make me feel more like living Than I’ve ever done before And in spite of all the trouble, all the fear I hold In spite of all the dread of losing – I’m still here I’m still here I am
4.
She Loves 04:24
Did you walk beside me Was it you that whispered in my ear “you do belong” Was it you that shook me from the dead Did you remind me There’s no giving into the dark despair I will always see I will always heed your sensitivity Cause you love, you love You love, you love In armorless ways Through a vow much more profound than I could even fathom Did you enter into this world I will always see I will always heed your sensibility Cause you love, you love You love, you love In armorless ways
5.
The air has cleared Grains of sand have slowly landed Gently fallen to ground There’s a stillness A void A chance if you will If you dare One step, one move, is all it takes One step, one move will alter everything One step, one move, is all And the haze will be gone Like dewdrops in the sun This storm Of impermeable matter Blowing so hard i almost gave in Didn’t get near for years But my hands Mold an orb of light I move it through the fields As I recite the holy words One step, one move, is all it takes One step, one move will alter everything One step, one move, is all it takes One step, one move will alter everything

about

Singer, cellist and composer Astrid Nora is finally back again with Where Did Nora Go after a break, where she has been dedicating her life to her premature twin girls.

It has been a long struggle, which, however, has had the happiest possible outcome. You can sense both aspects clearly in the nw music. Where Did Nora Go comes across even clearer, more vulnerable and stronger than ever before. All the excessive layers have been peeled off, and what’s left is an almost naked image where Astrid Nora's enchanted and amazing voice can really unfold. The years have been good on the singer, her music and creativity, and the new collaboration with producer Brian Batz (Sleep Party People) has proved to be extremely fruitful. The EP has been recorded live in famous Copenhagen Studio ‘The Village Recording’ with the two phenomenal musicians Jacob Haubjerg (Savage Rose, Luster, Kira Skov) and Anders Bach (Irah, MØ, Bisse). All songs are one-takes and most even first-takes, so everything is very crisp and vibrant.

Astrid Nora shares about the EP: "Over the past four years I have been through a very intense period with my two premature twin girls, with death knocking at our door several times. But when I look back, what is most prevalent is a deep amazement at the vast magnitude of life and a feeling of being carried through. The first many years of my life was a feeling of endless battle uphill – ‘against all odds’. I now feel that I have been allowed to receive all the goods. To be protected. - That the universe is indeed on our side if we allow - and believe in it. I have leaned far more into the spiritual side than on my previous albums. I have done this out of necessity and in order to rescue myself and my girls through this traumatic period. But despite the grief and exhaustion, the undercurrent of the music on this EP is a sense of hope and a light and a deep love that I hope shines through and catches the listener”.

WDNG first debuted with the release of the EP "Away, Away, Away" in 2012. Since then she has released two highly acclaimed albums, “Where Did Nora Go” in 2013 and “Shimmer” in 2014, both of which appeared on German labels.

The charismatic singer has been compared to artists such as Antony Hegarty, Björk and Kate Bush and was nominated in 2014 by Danish GAFFA (biggest music magazine in DK) as "Danish Female Artist of the Year". Her voice has a rare beauty, a power and intensity and with her music she creates a unique space that pulls the listener out of time and space into a parallel universe of dreamy and celestial sounds.

On the new EP there is even more room for reflection and immersion and the cello is temporarily replaced with the piano, as the singer has primarily composed new music on the piano in the holes of time and space that have emerged during the last years.

about

Where Did Nora Go Copenhagen, Denmark

Astrid Nora has been singing and playing music even before she could speak. With a Dutch mother who was a concert pianist, and a father who has always been a true storyteller, she was raised on words and music from infancy. The Steinway Grand Piano has always been a centerpiece in her home, and Astrid Nora started playing and singing her own songs early on. ... more
